Geometry
One of the greatest pleasures I know is to sit down with my favourite drafting tools and explore the myriad pathways that lie within the circles, arcs and lines that form the basis of any geometric composition. Every pattern is an original undertaking for each geometer that attempts it; the path to completion sometimes arduous, filled with unexpected obstacles and often time consuming. Overcoming these hurdles and revealing these wonderful patterns is one of the most satisfying experiences I have known.
For me what began as a simple desire to re-create beautiful patterns, soon developed into a contemplation of the hidden meanings that lay under the surface of these designs. Each layer of line and structure, a veil which can be lifted to reveal hidden truths.
My exploration of this art form has just started; and is one I expect and hope to continue for many years to come. This section of my website is dedicated to sharing some of my journey with you.
